Three generations on, our roasting process is the same today as it was when Jock first opened the roastery in 1924, using sight, sound and smell to skilfully roast our coffee to perfection. You won’t find any PLC’s or computer operated roasters at Mastertons Coffee!

Firing up our Probat roasters every morning, we strive to bring out only the best characteristics of each and every bean for your ultimate enjoyment. Our time honoured roasting method is possibly the most important step in the journey from green bean to cup, as it’s during the roasting that the unique flavours of every bean develop through the endothermic, then eventual exothermic reactions happening within the roaster that produce the quality of coffee that we have become renowned for.
