We’re extremely proud and excited to announce that we’re teaming up with the Chipembere Rhino Foundation through a lasting partnership in an effort to raise much needed funding for the work that Chipembere Rhino Foundation does in Rhino conservation throughout South Africa and beyond!

As you know the plight of the Rhino in South Africa and on the African continent as a whole is of growing concern, with poaching having resulted in massive population declines over the last few decades. This decline is now sharpening, with over 620 Rhino having been poached within South Africa’s borders so far in 2013 alone!

We’ve been fortunate enough to meet the people behind Chipembere Rhino Foundation, and learn about their work first hand. Realising that we were in a position to help and being a socially and environmentally responsible company, we’ll be releasing a new coffee blend called ‘Chipembere Blend’, with R5 from every 250g unit sold being donated to Chipembere Rhino Foundation!

Raised funds will go on to be used for the following key purposes amongst others as per Chipembere Rhino Foundation’s vision and mission:

On the ground equipment support for anti-poaching teams that operate on wildlife reserves in Southern Africa.
- Monitoring assistance such as the supply of, telemetry tracking devices,, veterinary, procedures involving veld ID kits, ear notching and rhino DNA data base kits.
- Creating a media awareness programme that would focus primarily on the youth through education based talks at schools and through, the collective, genre of artists associated with the Chipembere Rhino Foundation.
