Mastertons Centenary Coffee Blend
Our time-honoured roasting method is the same today as when Jock Masterton first opened the roastery in Port Elizabeth in 1924. It is this generational craft of using sight, sound and smell to roast our coffee that has made the taste of Mastertons unique.

Whole Bean Coffee:
Ideal for those who prefer to grind their coffee beans just before brewing.
Provides maximum freshness and flavour, as the coffee is ground right before use.

Pre-Ground Coffee with Specific Grind:
Convenient for those who want a ready-to-use coffee option without the need for a grinder.

Good Dark Roast
Really good dark roast flavour with a slight smell of nuts and a little chocolate taste.
Not very glossy looking as french roast but it's less coffee oil which is good if you not a huge fan of french roast.
Have tried in both Chemex and Aeropress so I recomend using those methods.

Centenary blend - Simply the Best!
We've been enjoying Mastertons Coffees for more than a decade and we've tried most of single origin & blends... but I must honestly say, the Centenary Blend is now our favourite! A beautiful dark brown bean
Reviews of coffee should be simple not complex navigation. This is customer experience driven economy and coffee is experience. From the moment I opened the bag, the rich aroma of freshly roasted beans filled the air, hinting at the delightful experience to come. Centenary coffee blend.
When I think coffee, I think Mastertons! From the early 60's visiting my grandfather in PE we would get the wonderful aroma driving down Russelroad. In 1984 I started studying at UPE and drove past the old cornershop at least twice a day. Always looked forward to the wonderfull smell of coffee when passing. Later moved away but still visited my parents until their departure to the great coffeeshop in the sky in 2009. Next week will be in PE again for my wives 40th school reunion and will definately visit my favorite coffee roastery to try out & buy the Centenary blend. Pity I missed the 1st 40 years. Always special.

Recently on a visit to family in Cape town I was introduced to various Mastertons Blends. All were five star blends with such amazing flavours and aroma.
Unfortunately I am back home in Natal south coast and have searched Spar / Checkers Pick and Pay for your product,sadly not available. So I am waiting for a gift to be sent by my relatives.
Please help with making this very special Coffee available in natal. As I am a pensioner shipping cost is an extra expence

This is such an easy drinking coffee. This blend is a little lighter than what I usually drink but has a full and satisfying flavour profile. It makes a particularly good espresso.

Time Travel Coffee Moments
One of the most incredible flavours I've been fortunate to come across!! Currently I'm a huge fan of the Vanilla Cream, Irish Cream, Sweet Italian Coffee and Out of Africa blends!! But today I tried out the Centenary Blend and I must say, it's like having all those in one! The aroma before even making my cup of coffee is blissful to my senses! Upon pouring milk and adding sugar, I still wonder into a space of joy and tenderness, reminds me of a time I walked through the play house theatre in Durban, just before the Orchestra played Queen "Don't stop me now"! I pour the hot water over and stir, only to smile before I take my sips! I highly recommend the Centenary Blend as it takes you back to great times! It creates a pause in a busy life!
